Committed to the core principles of Aboriginal self-determination, access, equity, empowerment and reconciliation, they are an Aboriginal community owned and controlled health service that provides holistic, culturally appropriate curative services as well as integrated preventative programs.With a strong governance structure and comprehensive strategic plan,BRAMScontinues to grow and expand their offerings to ensure they can achieve their vision of Healthy People, Strong Communities, and Bright Futures.About the OpportunityThe Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) is seeking a full-time Deputy Chief Executive Officer in Broome, WA.Reporting to the CEO, you will lead key operational teams and strategic initiatives, ensuring the delivery of culturally responsive healthcare aligned with BRAMS' Model of Care and Quality Care Framework. Key responsibilities include:Leading and managing teams across Finance, Quality Management, and Primary Health SupportMentoring staff through goal setting, performance reviews, and developmentImplementing operational plans for fundraising, income generation, and innovationOverseeing financial management, budgeting, audits, and grant reportingEnsuring compliance with legal and statutory obligations as a healthcare, NDIS, and aged care providerLeading quality management and accreditation initiativesManaging work health and safety programs for staff and clientsSupporting strategic plan execution and acting as CEO when requiredBuilding relationships with government bodies and securing relevant grantsAbout YouTo qualify, you'll need a tertiary qualification in Business Administration (or related field), with and at least 5 years of leadership experience. Strong leadership and team management skills, especially in guiding strategic initiatives, are essential.Highly valued skills include:Experience in finance, governance, and risk complianceAbility to work effectively in cross-cultural environmentsStrong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and deadlinesStrategic planning and business acumenExcellent communication and negotiation skills for stakeholder managementAs the ideal candidate, you will have strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
