Our wine focuses on American, French and Australian producers and our warm and knowledgeable service approach creates unforgettable dining experiences.The OpportunityWe're thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity to join the team at Reine & La Rue as our Head Sommelier. Following the well-deserved promotion of our incredible Steve Senturk to the role of Group Sommelier, we are now looking for a dynamic and experienced wine professional to take the reins and lead our award-winning wine program and sommelier team. This is a rare opportunity to manage a prestige list in one of the world's most stunning dining rooms.This role offers the chance to work in a vibrant, high-end environment and contribute to the continued success and growth of our wine offering. As Head Sommelier, you will play a key role in curating our wine list, training and mentoring our team, and elevating the guest experience with your expertise and passion. A high degree of autonomy is given in regards to purchasing and wine selections, allowing you to truly grow and develop the program.If you are a skilled and driven sommelier with a deep knowledge of wine and a commitment to excellence, we would love to hear from youSponsorship and/or relocation assistance could be offered for the right candidate.Our ideal candidate will haveMinimum of 2+ years of experience as a Head Sommelier in Michelin Starred, hatted or similar level of premium dining restaurantsExceptional guest experience and communication skillsStrong knowledge of French, American, and Australian winesWSET Diploma or CMS Advanced Certification preferred, but not requiredProven experience in stocktaking and inventory managementFamiliarity with ordering and invoicing proceduresExperience with POS system programmingStrong organisational skills and attention to detailExcellent administrative capabilitiesWhy JoinHealthy work-life balanceDynamic and collaborative cultureCompetitive remunerationCareer opportunities and developmentYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a sommelier?
