The Opportunity We have an exceptional opportunity for a Solicitor or Associate to join our Sydney team on a permanent, full-time basis.
You will be part of a great team and will be responsible for overseeing a range of interesting defendant insurance files with reputable clients.
In this role, you will receive ongoing mentoring and development from a Principal, as well as support from the wider team.
Key Responsibilities Managing a diverse range of defendant insurance matters, with an emphasis on historical abuse claims.
Conducting research and drafting pleadings, submissions, motions and briefs.
Negotiating settlements, attending conferences, mediations, court and managing court processes.
Advising and communicating directly with clients.
Providing guidance and mentorship to junior lawyers and support staff.
Requirements Experience in historical abuse cases preferred, although not essential.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with clients and other practitioners.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
