About the role Part-time and casual opportunitiesMorning, afternoon and weekend shifts availableUtilise your hospitality skills and contribute to the quality of life for our residentsAs a Hospitality Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work across all areas of our kitchen, cleaning & laundry departments, assisting with catering tasks; preparing food and beverages and maintaining supplies.
To be successful in this role, you will have: A positive attitude with a willingness to learnKnowledge of contemporary housekeeping/cleaning practicesThe ability to work across our cleaning, kitchen and laundry departmentsProfessional presentationFlexibility with shiftsA current Food Handling Certificate is desirablePrevious work in aged care or healthcare would be looked upon favourablyPlease note: Our recruitment process involves the successful completion of a functional assessment and the completion of a national police check.

To work for Eldercare, you are required to have a police clearance valid for working in aged care (vulnerable) and clearance needs to be less than 12 months since date of issue. Under the Emergency Management (Residential Aged Care Facilities) (COVID-19) Direction, to work in a residential aged care facility: from 1 June 2021, you must provide evidence of your seasonal influenza vaccination or a valid medical exemptionfrom 6 December 2021, you must have two doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine, or a medical exemption endorsed by the Chief Public Officer or her delegate.Eldercare welcomes and respects the diversity that our residents, staff and volunteers bring.
