We acknowledge their continuing connection to their culture and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.Our perks and benefits:Aboriginal Support NetworkFlexible workingWork a 9-day fortnight at full pay on the Enterprise AgreementUp to 16 weeks paid parental leaveYearly corporate wear allowanceRemote Area Benefits based on work locationA supportive and inclusive work culture that embraces diversity, cultural understanding and values.An opportunity to work on country and be part of a team that is making a real difference in the NSW communities.Location: Parramatta, Dubbo, also open to other NSW locations with a WaterNSW Office.Salary: From $131,851 base + super.Tenure: Full-Time, Permanent.What we are looking for:Someone who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent / identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander and is accepted as such by the community in which they were born, has lived or currently lives.A commitment to promoting and preserving Aboriginal culture and values.Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related field.Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.Demonstrated experience in managing expert systems and decision support systems.Demonstrated knowledge of and practical application of project management for software products.Proven experience in application development and project management, with a focus on environmental management applications, GIS, or related fields (preferably in the water industry).What you will work on:Play a central role in facilitating the development of the water data application roadmap, working closely with stakeholders to define the application visions, strategic priorities, milestones, and feature enhancements.Work with the members of the Steering Committee to prioritise and manage the backlog of tasks, maintaining a well-defined and groomed list of features, enhancements, and user stories.Monitor and report on the progress of program of works, identify dependencies, risks, and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.Solicit and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to enhance the application's functionality and relevance.
Collaborate closely with user groups and subject matter experts to understand operational needs and translate them into actionable development tasks.Manage change with the ongoing product development, including identifying training and resource gaps, risks and opportunities, and facilitating improvements.Who is WaterNSW?WaterNSW operates the state's dams, capturing and storing water, and then supplying it ready for distribution – for the environment, agriculture, industry and the community.
