Vision Freight Systems is a proudly Australian Owned and family operated transport business with 25 years experience specialising in the transport of General and Express Freight Australia Wide.
With depots in Brisbane, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, Cairns, and agents in the southern states, Vision is a trusted and respected carrier in the general and express freight industry.
We have a very close knit relationship with our customer base working with well-known and reputable brands Australia-wide, with a strong emphasis on our customers and our team.
We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Operations Manager to join our team at our Brisbane Depot. The successful applicant must have a proven track record in leading and inspiring large teams in Transport Operations; with a minimum experience at this level of 5 years; general freight experience would be highly regarded.
Extensive knowledge and experience with a range of computer-based programs is also essential.
In this challenging role, you will:
Manage, oversee and be able to perform all operational functions of a large modern transport depot;Manage, lead and roster a diverse team of operations staff and 20+ Local Drivers;Ensure maximisation of fleet utilisation and operational efficiencies;Supervise Intrastate & Interstate and local load planning and scheduling;Provide high levels of support to the am & pm team leaders across all areas and through both a tactical and strategic approach to ensure smooth operations;Ensure compliance by all team members;Ensure a safe workplace for all.If you are highly motivated, autonomous in your approach, exceptionally organised and possess excellent written and verbal skills and techniques, we want to hear from you.
