About the role
Promote wellness, independence, social connections and recreation activities based on the needs and interests of our residents.
Assist in the design, implementation and evaluation of meaningful activity programs that engage and connect our residents and align with their choices.
Assist in the organisation of social and recreational activities.
We are looking for a part-time Activities Officer to empower and engage with our Residents to maximise their participation in Leisure and Lifestyle programs.
Our focus for residents is what best suits their individual needs and wants; our Activities Officers facilitate this through:
Participation in the development, implementation and assessment of therapeutic plans Supporting residents to engage in their leisure and lifestyle choices and activities Supporting staff and volunteers in provision of leisure and lifestyle programs To be successful, you'll need
Cert IV in Leisure and Health or Cert III in Aged Care (essential) Previous experience in Aged Care Experience working with memory support (dementia) highly desirable Availability and reliability to commit to the required shifts Complete a Police Check NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement) Energetic and effective communicator Evidence of Covid-19 vaccination Flu Vaccinations (or willingness to obtain) What we offer:
