United by our Christian purpose and values, we stand together with anyone who needs us, for as long as they need us.
Your Opportunity The Darwin Sobering Up Shelter provides a critical service for homeless and displaced individuals (aged 18 and over) who are under the influence of alcohol or other substances.

This role requires a hands-on, diplomatic, and organised individual who is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for clients.
This is a 24-hour service, therefore you must be available for 8-hour shifts covering a 7-day roster (combination of night and day shifts) covering weekends and public holidays.

Assist with stock and inventory management, maintain accurate records in MA Connect, and support the Program Manager with various administrative tasks.
Conduct intake assessments, support frontline staff, and ensure culturally sensitive and respectful client interactions that contribute to their health and wellbeing.
Assist with staff scheduling and be available for on-call responsibilities, taking on a full week every 4-6 weeks to ensure operational continuity.
Requirements for Success With a significant background in AOD and/or Community Services sectors, you will be confident in your assessment processes.
Other requirements include: Previous experience in a similar position.
Demonstrated professional approach to the role including maintaining professional boundaries.
Sound verbal and written skills to document case plan outcomes and advocate for the best interest of the client.
Strong computer literacy skills with ability to learn new software programs quickly.
Senior First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain is desired.
Highly developed administrative skills and the ability to provide support to management.
Proven time management skills.
Self-motivated with inspiring can-do attitude.
