Community Kids Haven Ardeer is a 96 place, 5 rooms facility which provides the highest quality of care for every child, recognising that each one possesses unique abilities and talents.
Our care and teaching approach is rooted in the Reggio Emilia philosophy which underscores the belief that children learn best through a diverse array of resources, including recycled materials, wooden blocks, and loose parts.
Our curriculum embraces both indoor and outdoor environments, tailored to the children's interests and designed to support their exploration and learning.

The Role We are seeking a dynamic and confident Educational leader in the Early Childhood Industry to join our team.
This role is an on-the-floor opportunity, ideal for someone eager to showcase their leadership skills and expertise in early childhood education.
As an Educational Leader, you will collaborate closely with the service management team to drive our service toward achieving outstanding success.

Role Responsibilities: Guide the planning and implementation of a holistic educational program for children aged birth to six years.Guide and mentor educators to foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, while leading the development and implementation of effective teaching programs and practices.Work in high-quality, well-resourced environments where you lead programming and collaborate on resourcing decisions.Build and influence the professional capacity and skills within team.Collaborate with other educational leaders through workshops and meetings to share best practices and learn from each other.Support Educators in ensuring active engagement of every child in the educational program.Establish clear goals and expectations for teaching practices in partnership with all Educators.Contribute to the creation, implementation, and review of the Centre's Quality Improvement Plan.Role skills/competencies: Thorough understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard to ensure the implementation of best practices.Proven ability to guide, mentor, and support a team of educators, fostering a culture of professional reflection and continuous improvement.Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective liaison with educators, families, and external agencies.Experience in planning, implementing, and evaluating high-quality educational programs.Demonstrated capacity for reflective practice, seeking feedback, and engaging in ongoing professional development.Skilled in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with families, children, colleagues, and the broader community.Qualification: Diploma or Bachelor of Education qualification.Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Lead Educator or Room Leader role.Current First Aid qualification, including Anaphylaxis and Asthma management.Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).Knowledge and experience with the Early Years Learning Framework.Familiarity with KindyHub or similar online programming platforms is an advantage.Strong written communication skills and confidence in guiding documentation related to children's learning and development.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead by example.What we Offer?
