About the role An opportunity has become available at our Docklands head office in the Regulatory & Compliance team.
The Regulatory and Compliance Advisor plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of a range of initiatives across AGL's Customer Markets strategy, through the delivery of proactive and thorough regulatory advice and compliance expertise on all facets of the retail energy market.
The role will influence the business to adopt best practice approaches to regulatory compliance while maintaining a flexible and commercial approach.
This role will see you work closely with and influence a diverse range of stakeholders across the Customer Markets business unit.
You will provide timely, sound, and strategic advice on all relevant initiatives, ensuring that AGL meets its regulatory compliance requirements.
You will be a subject matter expert at all regulatory requirements applicable to the Customer Markets business and a point of contact for regulatory matters.

What you'll be doing: Providing high-quality and solutions-oriented regulatory advice on initiatives and processes such as external communications, product development, campaign delivery, marketing collateral, and sales processes.
Investigating potential compliance incidents, working with internal stakeholders to drive appropriate actions to remediate and prevent reoccurrences.
Delivery of AGL's external regulatory compliance reporting obligations, as well as associated internal management reporting.
Coordinating and assisting with investigations and requests for information by regulatory bodies.
What you'll bring: Experience and/or an interest in a regulatory advisory, compliance, assurance, and/or audit role, preferably in the retail energy sector (or other regulated industry).
Legal degree or other relevant qualifications in law or compliance management highly regarded.
Strong literacy skills and experience in the preparation of written reports for senior management and/or external regulatory bodies.
High attention to detail and driven to present information with a high degree of accuracy and completeness.
Proven ability to work in a high-pressure environment and respond and deliver to very short deadlines when required.
Proven ability to drive collaborative outcomes across cross-functional departments with competing priorities.
