We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Consultant to join our Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) Team on a full-time basis.

The role of the IPAC Clinical Nurse Consultant Site Lead is to develop, coordinate and oversee activities related to preventing and controlling infections across your designated area of responsibility.
Acting as the IPAC lead, you will provide leadership and expert advice, effectively organising and overseeing IPAC activities to ensure adherence to standards and promote a culture of safety and quality improvement.
The Site Lead practices both independently and interdependently, assuming accountability and responsibility for IPAC data collection for assigned portfolios, under the leadership and support of the IPAC Group Manager.
Where applicable, the Site Lead effectively coordinates the activities of the divisions IPAC Clinical Nurse Consultants.
The role will see you liaise broadly across the organisation with members of an expansive multidisciplinary team (Facilities, Environmental Services, Nursing, Medical, Allied Health) to achieve positive outcomes for patients, consumers and the workforce.
To be successful in this role, you will have: 2-years of post-graduation clinical experience as a Clinical Nurse Consultant in the speciality of Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC)Extensive experience as an IPAC Clinical Nurse Consultant within hospitals, covering a variety of settings within the hospital environmentDemonstrated ability to negotiate, resolve conflict and handle sensitive and complex issuesKnowledge in the application of Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) StandardsSkills in relationship building, cooperation, conflict resolution, influencing others and facilitating open discussionsAbility to work within a self-directed and resourceful manner, whilst remaining within scope of service and scope of practiceCurrent nurse immunisation certification (or working towards)Hand Hygiene Auditor with NHHIQualifications: Current registration as Registered Nurse with AHPRA (please ensure to include your AHPRA registration number in the CV).Postgraduate qualifications in Infection Prevention and Control or Public Health (or working towards)Current nurse immunisation certification (or working towards)Additional Information: At Epworth, it's a community.
