Financial Accountant

Overview:
Waters are looking for a Financial Accountant to handle 1-2 business entities in our Europe East region. This person will look after the internal and external audits across the region and have responsibility for harmonized accounting activities across the whole Europe East region (assets, recurring entries, account clearings) seeking new opportunities for harmonization and efficiency.

The person will be working in our office in Vienna.

**Responsibilities**:
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

- US GAAP & STAT responsibility for 1-2 Entities within the region:

- accrual
- local taxes
- prepaids
- trial balance review and taking necessary action (clearings, re-classes, etc)
- any other requests related to the Entities
- Main contact for internal and external Audit process for the same Entities
- Liaising with Austrian tax authorities during Horizontal Monitoring Process
- Responsibility of FX revaluation for the whole region
- Daily/monthly tasks for the whole Eastern region:

- managing all assets incl. Demo items
- check specific P&L accounts and process re-classes
- control specific Cost Centers
- posting (and clearing), maintaining and follow up of recurring documents
- managing the Concur clearing accounts
- stock take (process & manage)
- Preparation of Blackline reconciliations and tasks for 3 Entities in the Eastern region as well as back-up for approvals.
- Collaboration with external Partners:
E&Y, PWC, Austrian Tax Authorities
- Collaboration with internal Partners:
AP, Finance Director Eastern Europe, Country Manager Eastern Europe, Corporate Tax Team, Order Processing Manager Eastern Europe
- Project Support and lead for current/new projects on local/European and global level

Qualifications:

- strong Accounting knowledge
- solid experience in an accounting position
- SAP
- Microsoft Office
- Blackline as an advantage
- self motivated and ability to use own initiative to improve existing processes
- strong team player with good communication skills to develop positive relationships (internal and external)
- flexible
- willing to develop in a Global Organization
- fluent English

This person must hold a current passport and be prepared to travel abroad not only during working hours but also occasionally at weekends.
