We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to manage financial records, ensure accuracy in financial reporting, and support overall financial operations.

Financial Accountant (m/f/d)

Your key responsibilities:

Accounts Payable:

  • End-to-end AP processing (invoice review, coding and posting)

  • Ensure proper 2-way/3-way matching and compliance with company policies

  • Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving discrepancies promptly

  • Manage payment cycles and ensure timely disbursements

  • Maintain AP aging schedules

  • Support audits by preparing supporting documentation and improving AP controls

Accounts Receivable:

  • Customer invoicing, billing accuracy, and timely distribution of invoices

  • Perform and review daily cash applications, reconciliations, and posting of payments

  • Monitor AR aging and lead collection efforts for past-due accounts

  • Resolve customer billing issues, short-pays, and disputes in collaboration with sales/operations

  • Prepare and update month-end AR reports and reconciliation schedules

  • Implement best practices to improve cash flow and reduce DSO

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

You will assist in month-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Last but not least you will provide ad hoc financial analysis and support leadership with special projects like developing and further improving our AP/AR processes and internal controls.

Your qualifications and skills are:

  • Proven experience as an accountant or in a similar role

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, IFRS and local GAAP

  • Proficiency in accounting and in accounting software (Navision, SAP, Oracle)

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities

  • High attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication skills

  • English language is a must

  • Knowledge of automation tools (Webcon, Concur, etc.) is an advantage
