- Nature and aim of the position
- Following the Company’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange in September 2020, GB is looking for experienced “Financial Accountant” to support daily accounting activities within Global Blue Currency Choice team.
- Main duties and responsibilities:

- Preparing asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Preparing merchant and bank commission payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements
- Reconciliation of accounts receivables, preparation of debt payments journal entries and contacting merchants in case of overdue receivables
- Matching of daily transactional flows from acquirers/merchants
- Daily reconciliation of cash movements
- Preparation of weekly cash flow analysis
- Compute and prepare VAT and Tax return statements
- Formalize reconciliations following Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Assist and support in regular audit requests and prepare ad-hoc analysis upon request of stakeholders

- The holder of the position reports to the Accounting Manager “Currency Choice” and collaborates with the entire organization, most regularly with Group Consolidation, Country Managers as well as Operations Teams in Italy/Singapore.
- Key competencies:

- 3 to 5 years’ experience in Finance with extensive knowledge of Accounting (IFRS);
- Strong analytical mind with ability to focus on details
- Sarbanes-Oxley experience in Accounting is considered as a strong advantage
- Highly independent, goal-oriented and self-motivated personality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to summarize complex situations to senior management in a timely and efficient manner.
- Fluency in English (Global Blue’s working language).
- Deadline-orientated and an ability to stick to time constraints
- Ability to adapt in changing environment
