**Nature and aim of the position**

The main responsibilities of a holder of this position is day to day finance and accounts operations, ensure and accurate timely monthly, quarterly and year end closing, collaborates with the other finance departments to support overall department goals and objectives.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- General ledger bookings, preparation and maintaining of supporting documentation
- Bank accounts booking, documentation and reconciliation
- Payroll bookings, including payments
- Travel expenses checks, payments and reconciliation
- Preparation for intercompany recharges netting process, maintain documentation
- Perform monthly reconciliation of assigned general ledger accounts (Balance sheet and profit/loss account)
- Booking and maintaining accruals on a monthly basis
- Participation in Exact month end closing tasks (Exact reporting, linking of BS accounts etc)
- Asset Management and reconciliation
- Month end closing and preparation of reporting package for specific companies
- Provide administrative support to management
- Support activities related to statutory year end closing
- Accomplish other finance related tasks based on ad-hoc organizational needs
- Prepare monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts and intercompany balances in line with SOX requirements (bank and cash, assets, IFRS16, IFRS15, accruals, prepayments, payroll etc.)
- Assist in the development of ad-hoc analysis, reports, presentations, and special projects for senior management and cross-functional team

**Reporting and collaboration**

Financial accountant reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

The position requires collaboration within the accounting team, controllers/analysts, AP and AR teams, external consultants (auditors), external contractors.

**Preferable skills and competencies**

**_Education and background: _**
- Bachelor degree or equivalent working experience in the area of Finance or Statistics
- Strong exposure to Accounting and Finance concepts, combined with an understanding of financial systems/accounting processes to ensure delivery of timely and accurate results
- General understanding of the accounting software logic (ledgers, sub-ledgers, accounting dimension)
- 2-3 year(s) of double-bookkeeping experience
- Excellent English language skills (oral & written), French is a plus
- Very good MS-Office skills, especially Excel, experience in working with accounting software’s
- Excel proficiency, VBA, SQL knowledge is a plus
- Preferable experience in an international environment
