Educational & Technical Services Coordinator

The European Handball Federation’s (EHF) Sport and Game Services Department - Business Unit Education and Technical Services - is looking to efficiently cover the strategic coordination and development of regular activity with the appointment of a Coordinator.

The position offers a professional approach and a fully operational management increasing transparency and the ease with which information is gathered and used, be it to quantify progress, evaluate current status and trends, provide tools for strategic management, or further plan a course of action.

The job entails coverage of a wide range of diverse areas, including projects and coordinative cooperation with stakeholders in terms of sport management - handball technologies and educational activities - through regular interactions.

Tasks

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
- Coordination/Administration of the cooperation with Universities and the Scientific Community
- Strategic Cooperation (content)
- Coordinating Legal Aspects (Agreements/GDPR) with the EHF Legal Department
- Managing existing projects (EHM Cologne, MESGO)
- Scientific Conference Administration / UUHT (University Union of Handball Teachers)
- Educational Management of related seminars, workshops, and expert groups
- Implementation of E-Learning Courses (Methodological Aspects) in coordination with E-Learning Expert and Content Experts

TECHNICAL SERVICES
- Coordination of IT-related projects within the S&G department (website, coaches’ database, tracking project, video analysis software)
- Managing Players’/Ball Tracking Project - Scientific Purposes
- Liaise with different parties involved
- EHF IT, KINEXON, Alicante University
- Management of Statistical and Game related technical services at EHF's major events (statistics, video replay, player tracking)
- Liaise with different parties involved
- EHF IT, SwissTiming, Sportradar, XPS - Handball_ai
- Coordinate Analysis Projects of EHF
- Coordination of EURO Analysis
- Administration of YAC Analysis
- Managing Partnership with XPS Sideline for Analysis Purposes and Software Development (Functionality, Processes)
- Maintenance of EHF Activities Website
- Strategic Viewpoint
- Functionality Provision (Logic of Page, Display of content)
- Demand Management - project/s and documentation
- Coordination of Projects involving EHF IT
- Focal Point for IT matters within the Department

INTERNAL SUPPORT | SPORT MANAGEMENT
- Upload video presentations of the EHF CAN Activities/Events to the dedicated YouTube channel
- Update Digital Score Sheet for XPS - Sideline and Handball_ai / Video System EURO Events
- Organisation and Management - supervising YAC events (Competition Management, Accommodation, Transportation, Accreditation)

PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Good understanding of business and functional requirements
- Awareness of the design of entity-relationship models
- Handball background - active competitive and performatial involvement
- Having properly planned training sessions with the latest handball drills & skills
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to communicate in English and German (written and spoken)

GENERAL SPECIFICATION
- Liaise with clients and internal personnel
- Filter general information, queries, phone calls and invitations
- Planning and coordinating travel and accommodation requirements
- Planning and organising meetings and conference calls, as well as taking minutes
- Preparation of documents and presentations for meetings
- Preparing and submitting expense reports to a deadline
- Support the EHF office team when necessary

- Generate professional training sessions and specific training based on expertise
- Goal updating and performance tracking
- Generate measurable values that indicate if the operational management is in line and attuned with the strategic management
- Communicate with external agencies in functional responsibilities and coordinate internal stakeholders and staff members
- Maintain documentation for the duration of assigned project(s)
- Covering support topics related to office infrastructure

KEY COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge and competencies of/in both sport science and general sciences, and specific sciences
- Multifunctional knowledge of handball coaching and officiating
- Involvement within the handball coaching community to solve questionable issues, discuss new trends in coaching and using drills to illustrate the points - reasons, is a strong advantage.
