**Ready for a new challenge? **We are pleased to announce that Borealis is looking for a Transformation Manager (MTO) to play a key role in the transformation of the Borealis polyolefin (PO) business towards sustainability and circularity.
The Transformation Manager will support the development and annual review of the polyolefin and circular strategy and contribute to driving its execution. The incumbent will lead and/or support strategic projects across their lifecycle, act as an interface between various functions across the PO organization and coordinate projects cross-functionally.
Through maintaining oversight over a portfolio of transformation projects, the MTO supports prioritization and execution of high-stake initiatives across PO. Launch of new strategic initiatives and identification of transformative opportunities (e.g., new business models, value chain partnerships) and coaching of the organization on best practice project management skills, including financial and strategic analyses, will be key parts of the role.

**Focus areas for the Transformation Manager**:

- Development and drive of PO strategy across all functions; maintain strong focus on implementation and mid-range planning of market area and industry cluster strategies
- Proactively steer, develop, manage and execute projects in a multifunctional & multi-cultural context and establish & maintain the communication channels to stakeholders across the organization and third parties. You will also, engage, motivate and involve project members by creating an inspiring vision on the program contribution
- Manage the evaluation and negotiation of assigned strategic opportunities, and business development activities. Act as a team member in others, to generate substantial an attractive business growth for Borealis.
- Maintain oversight over portfolio of growth, circular and innovation initiatives and facilitate regular review prioritization and execution
- Analyse market and competitive intelligence, review financial analyses, draw conclusions for the PO business, and communicate information effectively to the organisation.
- Identify and propose strategic growth opportunities (e.g., partnerships, venturing, scouting) and transformation initiatives
- Handle considerable complexity of tasks, stakeholders and business circumstances and demonstrate ability to handle ambiguity
- Manage key contacts and interfaces with selected industry consultancies.
- Act as a sparring partner and challenger to the management team and broader organization

**About you**:

- University degree in business economics or engineering/master +MBA or equivalent business experience
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, in an international setting, ideally technical and/or commercial experience in polyolefins or other polymers
- Excellent understanding of the petrochemical industry and adjacent industries (O&G, chemicals, downstream customer industries)
- Understanding of circularity: a broad technical and commercial understanding, including feedstock sourcing
- Strong team player with proven ability to work in diverse and multifunctional teams and work with broad set of senior stakeholders
- Excellent problem solving skills; experience in business transformation is a plus
- Effective spoken and written English, concise and clear communication & presentation skills
