**All about the role**:
As Operations Project Manager, you will be responsible for proactively identifying, planning, and executing new initiatives within the Austrian Delivery Operations team, with the goal of growing delivery order volume, driving cost optimization, and improving network outcomes. You will play a pivotal role in supporting Austria’s Delivery Operations team across a wide range of strategic, operational, and cross-functional initiatives and projects. This role requires versatility, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage both strategic projects and day-to-day operations.
You excel at strategic thinking to design and recommend the best path forward for your initiatives, while also being hands-on in execution. You have a strong grasp of data and quantitative analysis to develop high-level business cases and inform recommendations. Using your excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, you will motivate partners and teams to deliver work on time and to a high standard. Finally, you will establish yourself as a thought leader in delivery operations, staying abreast of market trends to identify opportunities and contribute to global best practices.
**Key responsibilites**
**Project Management**
- Act as a project manager and provide day-to-day support to the Head of Delivery Operations in planning, tracking, and delivering business priorities.
- Proactively identify, scope, and lead multiple new initiatives to drive Delivery Operations’ strategic objectives (e.g., pay strategies, expansion, go-to-market plans for new markets, customer experience enhancements).
- Take accountability for end-to-end project outcomes, keeping stakeholders informed of risks and progress. Serve as the business lead on projects from pilot through MVP, rollout, and post-mortem analysis.
- Establish delivery and project management best practices and ways of working within teams.
- Analyze data and build business cases to drive new initiative recommendations and inform project prioritization.
**Product & Tech Roadmap Ownership**
- Coordinate and contribute to the development and implementation of the delivery operations Product and Tech roadmap, and support market-relevant product releases.
- Stay current with industry developments to drive benchmarking, innovation, and continuous improvement. Serve as a thought leader and contribute to global best practices and roadmaps.
**Support day-to-day operations**
- Support the delivery of core strategic planning processes, including operations strategy and budget planning.
- Manage and strengthen collaboration with external fleet partners, ensuring smooth execution and continuous improvement.
- Improve communication flows with couriers, ensuring clarity, engagement, and alignment with operational goals.
**What you should bring to the role**
- Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders across business groups and global locations.
- Passion for solving problems through out-of-the-box thinking; you use creativity and grit to navigate new challenges.
- Ability to translate high-level visions into tactical plans, with willingness to roll up your sleeves to understand technical aspects of our network.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts and strategies to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate and influence effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and achieve common goals.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to balance precision with intuition to move forward at pace.
- Experience in a logistics environment is a clear plus.
- MBA or equivalent professional experience with a completed bachelor's degree.
- Fluent in English and German (min. C1), both written and spoken.
