Tasks
- Computational study of photoinitiated frontal polymerization of epoxy resins using
- Quantum Mechanical (QM) and Molecular Dynamics (MD) Methods
- Investigation of conformations of chemical compounds and reaction characteristics using QM methods
- Creation of models of polymer systems with different curing degree for MD simulation
- MD simulation of thermo-mechanical properties of the polymer systems
- Analysis and interpretation of the simulation results
- Reporting of the results to the project team

**Requirements**:

- Ongoing study of chemistry / physics / material science / polymer engineering etc.
- Great interest on exploration of frontal polymerization and molecular simulation
- Basic knowledge in QM methods and simulation programs
- Programming skills (e.g. Matlab, Python)
- Good English skills, German skills are a clear benefit
- Ability to communicate and work in a team
