Financial Controller

We’re on the lookout for an inspiring and driven **Financial Controller**with strong focus on FP&R, Pricing as well as in-depth financial analysis and KPI management. This position is directly reporting to our CFO.

**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:

- ** Own and Evolve the FP&R**
Lead the company’s financial planning and reporting processes, including annual budget creation, monthly performance reporting, and quarterly forecast updates. Continuously improve related tools, processes, and templates.
- ** Set and Monitor Revenue Targets**
Collaborate closely with the marketing team to define and challenge quarterly revenue goals. Provide both quantitative and qualitative input to ensure ambitious yet realistic targets, backed by sound financial analysis.
- ** Support with Investor and Board Reporting**
Prepare regular financial updates and detailed reports for investors and board meetings. Respond to investor inquiries and support leadership with ad hoc financial insights.
- ** Own Customer Pricing & Margin Strategy**
Develop data-driven pricing recommendations for all products and markets, based on competitor analysis and margin modeling. Run pricing tests, analyze results, and partner with marketing to implement and optimize strategies.
- ** Manage Payment Provider Relationships**
Oversee relationships with payment providers (e.g., Adyen, PayPal), including contract negotiations, market-specific rollout of new payment options, and serving as the primary contact for internal payment-related issues.
- ** Perform Financial Data Analysis**
Act as a key financial data expert. Conduct deep-dives into performance and margin metrics, support cross-team initiatives with data warehouse expertise, and help design meaningful KPIs and reporting frameworks.
- ** Be a Sparring Partner across Teams**
Be a senior sparring partner for the accounting and PSP management teams. Be hands-on with new topics (e.g. entering a new market), support with related insights and tasks, and provide coverage during holidays.

**YOUR BAG OF TRICKS**:

- You bring **at least 3 years of experience** in controlling or another finance-related role
- You have **excellent knowledge of financial planning & reporting (FP&R)** and a solid understanding of budgeting and forecasting
- You’re **proficient in Excel**, comfortable building and working with forecasting models and financial analyses
- You have **strong analytical skills** and enjoy diving deep into data and financial performance
- You understand how to **gather, structure, and interpret data**—and you’re not afraid to question assumptions
- You have a **hands-on mentality**, always curious and eager to learn and take on new challenges
- You hold a **valid EU work permit**
- Your primary **work location will be Vienna**

**NICE TO HAVE**:

- Experience working in a **fast-paced, high-growth start-up environment**
- Skills in **BI tools and/or SQL** for data exploration and analysis
- Familiarity with **marketing KPIs** and their connection to financial performance
- Knowledge of **Austrian accounting standards and practices**
