**Your mission**:
**An exciting opportunity for organisational talents with a passion for democracy.**

We are hiring an experienced and passionate Project Manager who will be responsible for the successful planning, organisation and implementation of key conferences and events during the Democracy Year under the lead of the Democracy Year and Event manager. In supporting capacity, contributions to EU Projects (like SCALEDEM) are also part of the portfolio.

In your role, you will be responsible for:

- Planning and implementation of international events
- Initiation and coordination of communication activities (website, social media, mailings, conference materials)
- Co-planning and monitoring of project timelines
- Tracking project costs to meet budget requirements, including accounting
- Initiating new partnerships and active stakeholder management within the partner network
- Managing cooperation with vendors and suppliers
- Participation management & database maintenance
- Collaborating with conference partners, tracking their requirements and delivering accordingly
- Organising the preparation of the venue and associated tasks
- Reporting & Evaluating

**Your profile**:

- A minimum of 2 years experience in project management with a focus on event management
- A “sixth sense” for the details that make great events (on-site, online, hybrid)
- Flexible and solution-oriented mindset, able to adjust plans as needed and handle unexpected situations
- Being a natural organiser with an eye for detail and an affinity for structure
- Experience with coordinating international stakeholders
- Passion for the empowerment of engaged citizens
- Can-do, hands-on attitude
- Well organised and good team player
- Intercultural competencies & communication skills
- Full professional proficiency in English, ideally also German
- International work experience
- Experience with grant-giving organisations
- An asset: experience in fundraising, grant and proposal writing, further European language skills

ECoD gemeinnützige GmbH (ECoD NPO) was founded in 2021 by the Innovation in Politics Institute, an independent and non-partisan organisation that identifies, develops and implements innovations in the private and public sector in order to strengthen democracy in Europe.

As a non-profit organisation, ECoD NPO’s mission is to promote democratic governance and to strengthen social cohesion by fostering and expanding participation and awareness across the Council of Europe member states.

For this purpose, a European Capital of Democracy is designated every year - Barcelona in 2023/24 and Vienna in 2024/25. In cooperation with civil society and citizens, the title-holding city organises and implements a Democracy Year, featuring a wide range of activities and events.
