DHL Air (Austria) GmbH is a new cargo airline founded in 2021, and is a subsidiary of Deutsche Post DHL (DPDHL) Group. The prime focus of the airline is to operate for the EU network with a fleet of Boeing 757 aircraft. The headquarters of the airline is located in Vienna, main crew base is currently in Leipzig, delivering our customer promise of Excellence. Simply Delivered. During the course of a new project of adding four Boeing 767s to the existing fleet, we’re looking forward to expanding our staff in Vienna.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Technical Safety Investigator is directly responsible to the Lead Investigator and is responsible for the delivery of high quality technical investigations, the administration and control of technical related safety reports, and working to deliver a credible key contribution to an effective integrated Safety Management System

**YOUR TASKS**:

- Contributing Technical expertise to Incident and Accident Investigations;
- Managing Technical-led Investigations and occurrence reports including identification of root cause analysis, suggesting appropriate corrective, preventative actions and recommendations and being prepared to present these at the relevant Safety Action Group (SAG);
- Acting as the CAMO Safety Officer
- The reporting and follow up of mandatory reportable events along with accidents and serious incidents with the relevant Civil Aviation Authorities;
- Working closely with departmental team members and CAMO Fleet Manager to ensure investigation and subsequent follow up of Occurrence Reports;
- Preparation and coordination of technical input to the relevant Safety Action Groups (SAG) including statistical analysis of data and delivery and input at the relevant SAG presentation;
- Development and maintenance of Technical hazard registers as well as supporting Hazard Identification;
- Perform and support Risk Assessment & Mitigation;
- Perform Safety Risk Evaluations in coordination with other internal departments;
- Representing the Safety Department at Technical related meetings including Reliability Control Board (RCB);
- Monitoring and improving Safety Performance Indicators;
- Contribution to Safety Publications/Newsletters;
- Developing and promoting the safety culture of the company;
- Development and delivery of training to company personnel including Flight Crew and third party staff on the SMS;
- Liaising with internal departments at all levels concerning safety related matters;
- Liaising with external bodies and stakeholders such as Civil Aviation Authorities (ACG), group and external airlines and IATA;
- Promoting the safety management system throughout the company;
- Any other tasks as directed by the Lead Investigator or Senior Director Safety

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
Personal:

- You have a passion for safety and a solid understanding of safety management principles;

- You are able to handle a high workload in a tight timeframe and prioritize your tasks;
- You have a people focused approach and are enthusiastic about contributing to the safety culture of our airline.
- You have a high attention to detail;

- You possess strong communication skills and can build effective working relationships easily;
- You can work independently under your own initiative as well as working well as part of a team;

Professional:

- You possess a University degree in Aerospace Engineering or similar accredited experience;
- You have extensive knowledge and experience of Continuing Airworthiness regulation, principles and practices;
- Five years’ experience in an airline or air transport environment and at least three years’ experience in a similar role;
- You have excellent working knowledge of English and preferable German in both written and spoken forms;
- You are proficient at using Microsoft Office software;

This role will require travel (up to 25%).
