**What you’ll do**
- Controllership responsibility for Pall Austria Filter GmbH and Global Life Sciences Solutions Austria GmbH & Co KG
- Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of monthly and quarterly USGAAP closes
- Accountable for the accurate financial reporting of the assigned legal entities including periodic balance sheet review support
- Support the statutory accountant with the preparation of the annual statutory accounts & audit of these, tax returns and internal tax reporting requirements.
- Responsible for SOX compliance of the assigned entities
- Complete controllership/DoA activities including MJE approval & Manual Cash payment approvals
- Review balance sheet account reconciliations and provide overall ownership for account recs in the entities
- Maintain a good understanding of the balance sheet for the entities and understand any material P&L fluctuations
- Actively manage open and unreconciled items in the balance sheets of all assigned entities and provide support in the closure of these. Work with the process teams to understand root causes and prevent items becoming unreconciled/aged.
- Coordinate closely with Supply Chain finance and FP&A to provide relevant guidance on accounting topics and raise issues when relevant
- Coordinate with global process teams to support on cycle counts, physical inventory and other inventory control processes
- Support & review and provide input for control sheets (equity & loans transactions)
- Resolving accounts payables issues to ensure timely payment to vendors
- Working closely with shared services support
- Support for the roll out of new financial systems
- Support for tax team on accurate and timely VAT filings
- Ensure local tax requirements are complied with
- In partnership with PwC ensure company secretarial requirements are up-to-date and accurately completed/submitted.
- Support HR with any Finance related Works Council requests
- Completion of the Danaher internal tax reporting packages
- Support Statutory and Internal Audit requests related to the assigned legal entity
- Responsible for communicating, monitoring and administering relevant policies and procedures
- Provide local technical accounting support on matters impacting the LE
- Support the Fixed Assets team with their accounting requirements. Maintain an awareness of significant capital projects in the entities.
- Support the Payroll accounting process team and interface closely
- Responsibilities are not limited to the above list and may occasionally require involvement in other ad-hoc Finance matters.

**Who you are**
- Accounting or Finance Qualification
- Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
- Fluent in both German and English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
- Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
- Clear thinking/problem solving successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly grasp new ideas
- Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
- Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others
- Confidence/Assertiveness: strong influencing skills
- Experience working in a matrixed environment

For this role we offer an attractive compensation package with a salary starting from €75.000 per year.
