**Your Role**

As the Head of Engineering at iTranslate, you will be responsible for leading the engineering organization in delivering high quality, world class software solutions for our users (consumer apps and web) and clients (enterprise API). You'll be tasked with creating and maintaining a culture of excellence and innovation, and with constantly raising the bar in terms of the products we ship and the team members we attract to the team. You'll need to be able to provide strategic guidance and to mentor and level up each team member, and to structure efficient and low-impact processes that will allow the team to produce the highest quality output with mínimal distraction, as well as occasionally take a more hands-on role in building and driving technical solutions. You'll be a core member of iTranslate's leadership team and help guide the company through its next phase of growth. Amongst your key responsibilities:

- Lead, empower and enable the engineering team to build high quality products that improve our users' everyday lives
- Ensure the engineering team is operating at the highest level of performance, by mentoring team members and maintaining a high bar for hiring, as well as fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
- Own architectural design, engineering, data architecturing and warehousing, and be responsible for it across the organization, also ensuring proper documentation and knowledge sharing
- Contribute in shaping the product planning and development process, representing engineering by communicating technical constraints, opportunities and solutions, and also contributing ideas based on yours and your team's knowledge
- Attract world-class engineering talent to our organization by ensuring the team's culture, output and reputation are stellar and recognized
- Build, improve and update processes to enable the engineering team to function in the most efficient way possible, while minimizing distractions
- Provide and lead coaching and training opportunities for team members, according to their needs and goals

**Your Background**
- 10+ years of experience as software engineer, with exposure to mobile app development and machine learning
- 5+ years of experience as manager of engineering teams
- 2+ years of experience as member of leadership or executive team
- Excellent knowledge of: iOS ecosystem, mobile attribution software, product analytics software, marketing analytics software, A/B testing frameworks
- Advanced Knowledge of: Google Cloud Services, REST-API, Android ecosystem, SQL
- Knowledge of: Modern Web Technologies, Tensorflow
- A track record of shipping, and of leading teams to ship, great software that impacted the lives of many people
- Close familiarity with software engineering tools, software development methodologies and release processes
- Deep understanding of development practices to drive code quality and velocity
- Strong strategic mindset, combined with willingness to take hands-on approach on building and driving technical solutions as needed
- Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive presence
- Ability to effectively communicate opportunities and needs internally
- Ability to distill complex business goals and opportunities into actionable software development plans
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Self-motivated and entrepreneurial
