The Small, Medium, and Corporate team helps businesses achieve their digital transformation goals by matching customer challenges with Microsoft solutions. As an Azure Data & AI Sales Specialist in the Corporate Sales Team you are leading a virtual team of technical and partner resources to advance the sales process and achieve/exceed quarterly Data & AI revenue and usage/consumption targets in our managed customers across industries, company sizes and territories.

**Responsibilities**:

- Engage in conversations with customers to introduce how other workloads could enable digital transformation areas that is aligned with the customer’s industry. Initiate conversations with customers on digital transformation in your solution area and in collaboration with partners. Share learning on digital transformation through seminars, workshops, webinars, and direct engagement.
- Collaborate with extended sales team, partners, and marketing to conduct business analysis (e.g., whitespace analysis, identify industry trends) to pursue high-potential customers and develop a target list of potential business. Interface with customers and build relationships via social selling.
- Identify customer business needs and technical readiness. Collaborate with internal teams and partners to propose prioritized solutions that align with customers’ needs. Leverage the value propositions to communicate business impact of proposed solutions. Listen to customers to understand business outcomes.
Implement strategies to help accelerate the closing of deals in collaboration with other team members. Implement close plans (e.g., how to map timeline, engage the customer, get customer buy-in and commitment) to de-risk and drive predictable deal closure.
- Manage the pipeline of the assigned territory. Conduct forecasting for assigned accounts and develops a portfolio and territory plan with guidance.
- Collaborate with our Partner Organization (GPS) and with a network of partners to cross-sell and up-sell products, solutions and services. Develop joint proposal with partners. Implement partner strategies to scale the business.

**Qualifications**:

- **
Technology Sales -** Proven experience and understanding of technology-related sales or account management.
- **
Account Management**. Planning, opportunity qualification and creation, stakeholder, and executive communication, need analysis, value engineering, services/partner engagement, opportunity management, pipeline management, large dollar licensing and deal negotiation
- **
Executive Presence**. Experience and expertise in selling to senior business decision makers by aligning and reinforcing the value of the solution to the customer’s overall business pain and/or strategic opportunities and decision criteria.
- **
Data & AI.** Understanding of Data & AI products, and their value-add within business customers
- **
Collaborative**. Orchestrate and lead virtual teams to pursue sales opportunities.
- **
Competitive Landscape**. Knowledge of enterprise software solutions and platform competitor landscape.
- **
Partners**. Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to scale via partners.
