HOOKIPA’s pipeline includes wholly-owned investigational arenaviral immunotherapeutics targeting HPV16+ cancers, prostate cancer, KRAS-mutated cancers (including colorectal, pancreatic and lung), and other undisclosed projects. In addition, the company aims to develop functional cures of HBV and HIV in collaboration with Gilead.

**Position Summary**:
We are looking for a highly motivated part time (20 h) Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The main focus of the Preclinical Analytical Development Department is to perform and optimize assays for testing and characterization of our products. This position is a part of the routine assay testing team with 10-15 laboratory technicians. This position is primarily laboratory based (BSL-2).

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Buffer and media preparation, as well as operation of a semi-automated pipetting system for preparing assay plates
- Requesting and stock keeping of reagents and lab consumables
- Documentation for all work processes according to quality standards at the transit from a paper based to electronic data management
- Scheduling of (routine) maintenance for laboratory equipment and keeping devices in a working state
- Close cooperation and interaction with all teams of the department
- Shipment of biological material and reagents under various conditions

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Scientific education (e.g. HTL - Rosensteingasse, studies in the field of (molecular) biology, biotechnology, chemistry, pharmaceuticals or food industry)
- Or work experience in a similar position, ideally in the Biotech or Pharma industry
- Experience with stockkeeping, ordering, media and buffer preparation.
- Independent, well-organized and proactive work style
- Open-minded, communicative and reliable team-player
- Experience with Quality systems (e.g. GMP; GLP) is an advantage
- Experience working in biopharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is of advantage
- Able to multi-task and work under time pressure
- Able to work 4 days (5 hours each)
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written
- Valid EU working permit

We are required by Austrian law to post a minimum salary. The minimum monthly gross salary for this position is EUR 2.078;
- based on fulltime (40 hours per week); depending on experience and qualification salary can be negotiated. In addition, we offer a performance-related bonus payment and participation in our stock option compensation program.
