We are currently searching for a **full-time research assistant**, starting with 1st September to work in the **laboratory of Dr. Elly Tanaka** at the Research Institute of Molecular Pathology in Vienna, Austria. The lab’s research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying regeneration in amphibian models and promoting regeneration in mammalian models. The lab employs a wide array of molecular biology, histology and _in vivo_ approaches to identify pro-regenerative mechanisms.
**Your qualifications**:
The qualified applicant should have theoretical background in molecular biology, and some laboratory experience (such as Master’s thesis). Experience in cell culture, especially ES cells is highly desirable. Experience with imaging and image analysis would also be highly desirable. The research assistant would work on a project to support work developing the use of human ES cell derived retinal pigment epithelium to develop strategies to reverse age-related phenotypes. Work would involve cell culture, molecular biology immunofluorescence, imaging, image analysis.

The annual gross salary starts from € 32,200, - or higher, - for a full-time position (40 hrs/week), depending on qualification and experience. The employment will be limited to one year with possible extension.
