**Associate Expert Science & Technology (f/m/d), GDD, Schaftenau, Austria**
- 200 This the current number of programs in clinical development at Novartis. Many of these projects, which include new molecular entities as well as additional indications and different formulations for marketed products, are for medicines that could significantly advance treatment standards for patients worldwide.

**Your key responsibilities**:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Plan, perform and document results of analytical experiments independently to support development of biopharmaceutical drug substances/ products in a modern lab with state-of-the-art equipment (e.g. HPLC, CE, CCIT, and physical-chemical methods) in the scope of release, stability, validation, and transfer studies
- Support compilation of GMP documents, e.g. writing of operating or instrument procedures based on templates under moderate supervision
- Interact and collaborate with other groups and sites according to project and method requirements
- Communicate, address and tackle problems (e.g. unexpected results from experiments)
- Actively foster knowledge exchange
- Be part of an open and motivated team with flat hierarchies, bring in your networking skills and collaborate across boundaries
- Bring in your ideas and improvement proposals, be creative, think bold and inspire others

**Minimum requirements**

**What you’ll bring to the role**:Essential**:

- Apprenticeship in industry (or equivalent technical education as chemistry HTL, CTA, BTA or MTA) and/or bachelor’s degree in biotechnology, biochemical engineering, biology, chemistry, biochemistry or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of, or practical experience with laboratory tools, above all HPLC
- Fluency in German and English
- Flexible, pragmatic and goal-oriented working style and scientific way of thinking
- Team-oriented, open mindset
**Desirable requirements**:

- A personality with a can-do mentality and the ability to adapt to change with strong communication across organizational interfaces
- Ability to work with a cross-functional team in a matrix environment
