**Controller**

**Nature and aim of the position**

In this role, you will ensure full Local GAAP, IFRS as well as tax compliance for Global Blue Benelux countries. The main tasks of this position are the management and coordination of finance and accounting, ensuring correct and punctual closing, ensuring compliance with SOX regulations, working with other finance departments to support the general departmental goals. Last but not least, you are expected to contribute to further development of the team and sharing knowledge within Finance organization.

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Manage the daily accounting operations taking into account all legal and economic requirements
- Statutory reporting ensuring accurate and in time reporting
- Month end/Quarter end and Year end closing tasks
- Reconciliation of internal systems (MNA, Exact)
- Monthly Group reporting including review of balance sheet and income statement
- Bank accounts booking
- Tax compliance as well as timely and accurate Tax reporting in all relevant jurisdictions for Benelux countries
- Contact person for all audits and responsible for implementation of relevant changes.
- P/L controlling and corrections in multiple entities
- Support to Accounting Manager with local GAAP compliance and accurate financial statements
- Monthly reconciliations and controls in accordance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
- Co-operate on other SOX-related projects related to Central Finance function
- Provide instructions to the accounting teams as to treatment of prepaid expenses, capital expenses, IFRS16 etc.
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Other finance related tasks based on ad-hoc organizational needs

**Reporting and collaboration**

The holder of the position reports solid-line to Accounting Manager Benelux

The holder of the position collaborates with all Accounting teams, multiple central department heads, Group Finance and Group Consolidation

**Profile and education**
- University degree in Finance, Business, or similar relevant education
- Up to 7 years’ experience as a Controller or Financial Analyst in a corporate group/multinational company
- Exposure to SOX is an advantage
- Understanding of software development life cycle and its implication/treatment is a great plus

**Specific skills and knowledge**
- Desirable work experience in multinational environment
- Skilled/Advanced Microsoft Excel user
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Accuracy and attention to detail a must
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi task and meet deadlines
- Leadership skills to manage assigned tasks in a self-organized way
- Can-do attitude to fulfill job by excellence
