Desktop Support Specialist L2

**About the Role**:
We are seeking **Level 2 Desktop Support Specialist** in Austria. In this role, you will handle escalated technical issues, perform advanced troubleshooting, and ensure optimal workstation performance for internal and external users. You’ll work closely with Level 1 support, network engineers, and system administrators to deliver seamless IT services across the organization.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Provide advanced technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices (Windows/macOS).
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues escalated from Level 1 support.
- Support Office 365, Microsoft Teams, remote desktop tools, and VPN connectivity.
- Perform system imaging, software installations, updates, and patching.
- Configure and manage Active Directory accounts, permissions, and group policies.
- Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes including provisioning of equipment and access rights.
- Document solutions and contribute to knowledge base for common issues.
- Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements and warranty claims.
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and data protection protocols.
- Provide remote and on-site support (as required).
**Requirements**:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in desktop support, including Level 2 responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (10/11), Microsoft 365, and remote access technologies.
- Experience with Active Directory, Exchange, SCCM/Intune, and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
- Familiarity with basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, MCSA, ITIL) are a plus.
