**Job Summary**:
The role of the Biopharm Relationship Manager (BRM) is to create sustainable and profitable partnerships with customers in the biopharmaceutical industry. The BRM is responsible for sales to customers in Austria territory. A focus on positioning the BU as the primary supplier to biopharmaceutical customers engaged in mammalian and microbial-based manufacture, Vaccines, Cell & Gene Therapy, and Peptides. The BRM has a good understanding of the market, understands the needs/challenges of our customers, and use our company portfolio of Biopharma products and services to deliver meaningful solutions. This BRM position will report directly to the Head of BRM organization in Europe.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Raise regional awareness by promoting the Avantor value proposition as a manufacturer and supplier of Chemicals, Serum, and Single-Use products & services, to support the manufacturing processes of various biologic-related product classes.
- Work closely with the different Field Applications teams to engage customers in value added programs and technical projects.
- Build and sustain long lasting business relationships with customers to ensure brand loyalty.
- Execute company strategies to achieve sales growth in the EU region.
- Champion internal alignment with internal stakeholders to ensure key customer opportunities are being managed and executed in an efficient manner.
- Identify and lead the development or refinement of new custom manufacturing opportunities.
- Managing a pipeline of opportunities and contracted business.
- Visit with and facilitate senior level presentations to end customers.
- Use of CRM system for consistent reporting and information exchange.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**What you’ll need to be successful at Avantor**:

- BSc/BA degree in Chemistry, Life Sciences, Chemical/Genetic Engineering degree or other life sciences related degree.
- At least 5 years sales experience within the biopharmaceutical manufacturing or related life sciences industry.
- Proven track record in achieving sales targets.
- Ability to recognize need for change and employ appropriate strategies to facilitate change.
- Ability to be flexible in fast-changing environment and to work well under pressure.
- Self-motivated team player and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Full Driver’s License.

- Strong negotiation skills is a must.
- Open to travel within the EU approximately 50% of the time.
