Program Manager

The Program Manager will focus on successfully leading complex distribution design, implementation, and operational programs, inclusive of material handling systems (MHS), warehouse management and control systems, new or expanded building construction, new or redesigned processes, hiring and training employees, managing change across stakeholder groups, and driving distribution center operational performance.

Verantwortungsbereiche:

- Serving as Fortna’s Program Manager and primary point of contact and accountability with regard to the planning, delivery, and quality of Fortna services
- Project and Program Management
- Planning and leading large, complex distribution center improvement and deployment projects
- Planning and leading multiple program work streams and/or projects
- Maintaining alignment across Fortna and Client project leaders, stakeholders, and executive sponsors throughout the course of a Client program lifecycle or operational performance initiative
- Defining and executing a comprehensive program/project communication plan with relevant stakeholders (i.e. Client, internal, Supplier)
- Managing the pre-project development of project proposals or statements or work, time-phased resource plans, MHS and resource cost estimates, project schedules, and Client contracts and commitments.
- Serving as a role model in compliance and improvement of Fortna program and project governance standards
- Leading project quality assurance and risk management initiatives
- Coaching and leading other Fortna associates and Client team members
- Developing and communicating high quality documentation and analysis, leading Client acceptance of agreed deliverables and Fortna delivery of achievable business results
- Gathering and analyzing information using appropriate tools
- Determining clear and decisive courses of action
- Building and maintaining a strong and effective program/project team
- Supporting Fortna sales efforts
- Leading and educating Client teams on Fortna’s approaches and methodologies
- Articulating the business case and design principles associated with a program or project
- Ensuring visibility and adherence to an integrated program/project schedule
- Managing program/project scope, budgets, and timelines
- Resolving program, project, and stakeholder issues and conflicts as they arise

Additional responsibilities include:

- Offering a business point of view during program/project efforts and deliverables
- Leveraging internal business administrative systems and processes
- Leading and supporting internal project teams in the development of tools, templates, and methodologies
- Writing and contributing to Fortna marketing materials
- Demonstrating professionalism and adherence to Fortna Principles at all times Finish
- Demonstrating leadership by providing vision, direction and guidance to Client teams, and by overseeing and delegating responsibilities to associates
- Assisting and participating in Fortna initiatives, such as training and team events

Qualifikationen:

- Bachelor’s degree with evidence of strong performance in engineering, logistics, and operations
- 5+ years of experience working in distribution center (DC) environments
- 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain consulting related work
- 10+ years in program/project leadership and/or supply chain executive leadership positions
- Multiple experiences successfully delivering business results from similar, complex distribution implementation programs
- Experience in leading or performing analysis in complex supply chains and/or distribution environments
- Expert project management and problem-solving skills

- Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem solving skills

- Proficient in use of Microsoft Project and SharePoint software
- Ability to travel extensively within the U.S. and abroad (approx.50-75%)
