**Purpose of the role**:
The External Affairs team delivers C&A’s external communications strategy and ensures our positive corporate reputation and brand image.
Covering media relations in nine countries of our CEE market - Austria, Croatia, Czech, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland -, the External Affairs Manager is the key point of contact for media inquiries in the market, and acts proactively to build relationships and share C&A’s messages.
There are great development and progression opportunities within this role, and the opportunity to have a strong impact on the existing team and future of the communications team.
**Your Responsibilities At C&A**:
- Establish and develop a great network and close relationships with key economic outlets and journalists in the nine countries under C&A’s organization in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE market): Austria, Croatia, Czech, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Switzerland
- Implement the C&A Europe Communication Strategy in the CEE market
- Ensure corporate messages are communicated in a clear, timely and effective manner to all relevant internal and external audiences
- Place the Leadership Team in top-tier media for the market and the countries, and seek and evaluate speaker opportunities on relevant executive-level events
- Build dialogue with relevant external stakeholders
- Strengthen the image of C&A in the CEE market through continuous messaging with all relevant stakeholder groups
- Support social media communications, in particular LinkedIn communications and the corporate website
- Support the CEE headquarters in crisis communication issues
**What We Expect Of You**:
- Completed Master’s degree in Communications, Press and Public Relations, Journalism or a related field
- Strong experience dealing with journalists and media
- At least 10 years of work experience in corporate communications with the focus on external communications
- Fluency in English and at least one other language from CEE countries
- Highly developed Communication and organizational skills
- Experience with media evaluation methods and monitoring
- Ability to work collaboratively across complex international organizations

The salary for this position is € 68.000;
- gross per year. Of course, there is a willingness to overpay, depending on your qualifications and experience.
