As our **first person on the ground in Austria**, you will join our mission to build a Europe-wide network of fast charging stations at high-traffic locations. We are 300+ colleagues from over 40 nationalities, spread across 9+ operational countries, with our HQ located in Amsterdam. We were voted the **best charging network** in the UK, France, and the Netherlands and awarded B-Corp certification in July 2024. **Your role**: As the first person of Fastned Austria, you will open the Austrian market for our charging network and help bring ‘Freedom to the Electric Driver’. Together with a highly skilled, international team from our 9 operational countries that will support you, you will shape and execute the strategy to position Fastned as a top fast-charging provider in Austria. In your role as **Market Entry Lead**, you will identify location opportunities for our stations and build meaningful relationships with landlords and government and private sector stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include preparing and negotiating public tenders and creating commercial partnerships. This position offers the chance to combine strategic thinking, real estate development, and networking with strong internal and external communication. You will collaborate with the international expansion and public affairs teams to feed early opportunities into our pipeline. Being successful in this role means **implementing a comprehensive development plan for Austria** while also being hands-on in creating concrete projects (**scouting locations, negotiating deals with landlords, and realising our first charging stations**). The main goal is to feed in opportunities and contribute to our European pipeline of new locations. You can build and rely on 13+ years of in-house expertise that will support you in finding the right, tailored way to kick-start the Austrian market. You bring along experience in high growth environments and you have a nose for business opportunities - you love to push projects through until success.
