Quantitative Analyst

**The role in a nutshell**:
You’ll deal with complex questions around sports betting and online gaming together in a team of highly skilled Mathematicians. Sounds exciting? There is even more: you'll improve the performance of our mathematical models, which are used in products dealing with hundreds of millions of pounds, and thereby directly influence the company results.

**What you'll be doing**:

- Build, implement and maintain mathematical and probability models for sports betting and Customer Management based on sound mathematical principles
- Follow a data-driven approach by collecting information from databases and bookmakers
- Work with Trading teams, key stakeholders, and product managers to understand requirements for trading and risk management tools
- Demonstrate technical skills and abilities with technologies used
- Act as a conduit between Trading, IT, and other key stakeholders being able to explain mathematical models to non-mathematicians such as Trading Operations, Client Risk etc. in the delivery of trading and risk management tools
- Review the existing modelling techniques and come up with new approaches where required, sometimes in ambitious timelines
- Ensure that solutions delivered are fit for purpose and appropriately tested so that standards are upheld to a high level

**What we need from you**:

- A University degree (ideally MA / Ph.D.) in Mathematics and/or some field in applied mathematics such as statistics, control theory or theoretical physics
- Ideally, you’ve already worked with quantitative finance modelling or a similar role within the gaming industry or exposure to a trading department where modelling / quant data research has been practised
- A highly organised and structured approach to work
- Keen on challenges that require you to head into the unknown in search of a novel solution, and you have the drive to deliver it in full detail
- An understanding of agile development methodologies would be a plus
- Knowledge of Mathematica, R (or some other statistical software), SQL and F# (.NET & OOP) is an advantage
