Director of Program and Project Management – Aerospace (m/f/d)

As Director of Program & Project Management, you will lead a cross-functional team driving the strategic direction, execution, and lifecycle of TTTECH's Aerospace project portfolio. You'll oversee all product development projects, ensuring alignment between customer needs, business goals, and technical delivery. Collaborating with the VP of Product Development & Engineering, the VPs of Space and Aviation, and the Group PMO, you'll champion operational excellence, innovation, and strategic alignment across Space and Aviation domains.

Your Tasks

• Lead and manage complex internal and external projects, programs, and portfolios aligned with strategic goals
• Drive continuous optimization of assigned initiatives through evaluation, prioritization, and performance improvement
• Support senior leadership in strategic decision-making for high-impact project and program setups
• Support the strategic roadmap for project management across multiple business units
• Establish and enhance Aerospace processes and tools for project, portfolio, and program management
• Collaborate with central project management to ensure effective portfolio resource planning
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Project Managers
• Facilitate cross-functional stakeholder engagement across R&D, Sales, Marketing, Quality, and Operations
• Drive portfolio-level prioritization, resource allocation, and decision-making
• Monitor KPIs, ROI, and compliance with internal quality standards and external regulations
• Manage team operations, budgets, and strategic competencies through recruitment and development

Your Profile

• University degree in a technical field of study (e.g. Electronics, Computer Science, Informatics, Aerospace Engineering)
• 10+ years of experience in program or project management, including 5+ years in a leadership role in the aerospace industry
• Proven leadership experience in program and/or project management within the aerospace sector
• Strong strategic mindset and business acumen
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
• Deep understanding of project management and agile methodologies
• Skilled in leading cross-functional teams in regulated environments
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, and SuccessFactors
• PMP certification or equivalent is a strong advantage
• Background in aviation or space certification processes
• Technical expertise and hands-on experience in complex, multi-disciplinary programs
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling program/project management functions
• Fluent in English, with strong interpersonal and partnership management skills

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 88,600 gross gross per year. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries as well as performance-based and therefore can be significantly above the stated minimum salary.
