Bring Joy Through Friendship (Dogs Welcome) Doncaster Community Care and Counselling Centre – Donvale VIC The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this role on behalf of Doncare. Are you a people person who enjoys coffee, conversation, and maybe even a walk with a furry friend? We’re looking for a friendly and caring volunteer through the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) to visit a lovely lady of European background who has recently moved into residential aged care. She is warm, sociable, and absolutely loves connecting with people. Whether it’s chatting over coffee and cake, enjoying music, going for a walk, or spending time with animals—especially dogs—she truly lights up with company. Although she lives with some cognitive impairment, her enthusiasm for life and conversation remains strong. She’s happy to chat with anyone and everyone and would be thrilled to build a regular connection with a friendly volunteer. We’re looking for someone who: Enjoys chatting and connecting with others Is happy to go for short walks, listen to music, or just sit and talk Loves animals (and is welcome to bring a friendly dog along) Is kind, patient, and reliable Just an hour a fortnight can make a huge difference in someone's life and yours.
