Aged Care Volunteer Visitor - Bring Joy to an Elderly Gentleman's Day We are looking for a kind and compassionate volunteer to visit an elderly gentleman living in Hastings, to have a cup of tea and a chat, share stories and create a genuine friendship. The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme (ACVVS) is a government-funded program designed to combat social isolation and build meaningful social connections for older people. Volunteer Visitors are asked to visit their older friend on a fortnightly basis (weekly where possible), engaging in activities that you both enjoy. You don’t need any special skills, just a caring nature and a bit of time to spare. A weekly or fortnightly visit can make a world of difference in someone’s life. If you’re passionate about connection and community, we’d love to hear from you. Join us and help brighten someone’s day one visit at a time Category: Seniors & Aged Care Commitment: Regular - more than 6 months Type Of Work: Companionship & Social Support, Seniors & Aged Care Time Required: Volunteers are required to visit once per fortnight (although we prefer weekly where possible), duration of visit is up to you.
