Purpose of the role As the Activation Director, you will lead a small team of Activation Specialists. You'll be the expert product, fully understanding briefs, contributing to wholistic digital strategies and delivering the highest excellence in implementation planning and buying, spanning Programmatic, Search, Social and E-Comm, powered by data, technology, and automation, ensuring client campaigns are executed and amplified in an effective, efficient, and future facing way. You'll benefit from a collaborative environment full of experts who have deep hands-on implementation experience and are keen to share insights about campaign strategy and delivering outstanding results. Your role will be to lead the Team, with overall responsibility for the direction, workflow and quality of Implementation Planning and Buying. Key Responsibilities Openly communicate and collaborate with all internal key stakeholders and report regularly Hold regular performance evaluation meetings with reports throughout the year, setting SMART KPIs and creating a clear career development plan with them Review your team's training needs to ensure their career plans are aligned to their progression. Responsible for training and development of all members of the team Oversee workflow between all members of the team and escalate any issues Establish an understanding of client challenges, objectives & initiatives Provide innovative strategic insights by acting as an expert on the client's business, industry and competitors Clear understanding of the in-scope services of your clients and the process for completing work above and beyond Work collaboratively with Media and/or platform partners, ensuring strong relationships are developed from the outset and you understand their offerings and relevance to our clients Confident in knowledge of media planning principles and able to utilise agency and industry tools to support planned recommendations Support the development of media plans, including media plan reconciliation, and the update of plan changes, to ensure accuracy Enhance on-going campaign optimisation to improve business objectives, such as ROAS and CPA, across a range of touchpoints Complete and maintain all Performance platform certifications (Search, Display, Mobile, Video, Commerce) Use data within platforms to provide insights for client teams to use across other marketing and advertising channels Ensure all reporting is clear, jargon-free and insightful for clients Able to construct and present robust Implementation plans grounded in strategic priorities Bring innovation and creativity to the table, leveraging insights from across the market Ensure all financial and compliance processes are followed with accuracy, including bookings and loadings Responsible for the overall delivery of client trading KPIs Collaborate closely with your Manager to identify and showcase examples of great work from within the team Build the agency’s reputation by contributing to entries for awards and competitions Contribute to thought leadership across the agency’s owned assets (Website, Social, EDMs, etc.) Share relevant commentary internally for the broader agency Be a positive face of the agency at industry events Develop market-leading profile via strong relationships internally and externally Skills And Experience Experience leading a team Passion for Search, Social, Programmatic, E-Comm, Data and Tech, with extensive agency experience Strong, up-to-date media landscape knowledge and ability to articulate macroeconomic and consumer trends Highly skilled communicator with excellent presentation skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Collaborative and astute — able to build trust and respect within a network First-class negotiation skills Results driven with the ability to articulate what’s working and why Seniority level Director Employment type Full-time Job function Marketing and Sales Advertising Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Havas Media Australia by 2x Get notified about new Digital Director jobs in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia .
