Add expected salary to your profile for insights Join Our Team – Disability Support Coach We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a part-time Support Coach based in Baxter at Sages Cottage Farm . You will be joining a great team, passionate about supporting people with disabilities to achieve their goals, participate in activities and programs of their choice, both at Wallara and within the community. The role is 30.5 hours per week, Tuesday 8:30am – 4:30pm & Wednesday – Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm. If you are passionate about providing quality support services, proactive and have excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you What you'll need to succeed Demonstrated knowledge or experience working within the disability sector and supporting clients with varying support needs and goals Media, barista, woodwork, and/or ecology skills preferred A passion for supporting people with disabilities to achieve the best they can – bring your special talents to their experience Excellent communication skills; ability to prevent and resolve issues and to build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders Ability to advocate and promote community inclusion and person centred support that exceeds standards and is delivered within the available resources – be creative Excellent administration, written communication skills and computer literacy in order to complete appropriate documentation - make sure the t’s are crossed and i’s dotted Resourceful and innovative approach to creating opportunities for those we support – make social change happen Experience in delivering on individualised plans Excellent time management skills and the ability to think laterally Ability to work as part of a team and independently Commitment to exceptional service delivery and a demonstrated professional approach to work Commitment to the principles of WHS, EEO, Cultural Diversity and all relevant legislation Certificate III or IV in Disability is highly desirable. Must haves Right to work in Australia NDIS Worker Screening Check Certificate in First Aid Level 2 + CPR.
