Counsellor - Women's Family and Domestic Violence ABOUT THE ROLE The Patricia Giles Centre for Non-Violence (PGCNV) is seeking a passionate and experienced Women's Counsellor to join our values-driven team in Merriwa. In this full-time permanent role, you'll deliver evidence-based counselling and therapeutic services to women impacted by family and domestic violence. Working within a supportive interdisciplinary team, you'll help clients achieve meaningful outcomes and rebuild their lives. You'll be backed by strong clinical leadership, access to quality resources, and a workplace that values your contribution. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Deliver trauma-informed counselling and psychoeducation to women impacted by FDV. Conduct FDV assessments and develop collaborative safety plans. Plan and facilitate individual and group therapy sessions. Coordinate referrals and advocate for client needs. Collaborate with agencies for integrated service delivery. Maintain accurate client records and service data. Foster a respectful, safe, and inclusive team and client environment. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR A Degree in Psychology, Counselling, or related field. Registration (or eligibility) with AHPRA, ACA, or PACFA. Warm, empathetic, and client-focused approach. Strong communication skills – written and verbal. Collaborative team player with integrity and professionalism. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Able to work independently and across multiple programs. Resourceful, proactive, and solution oriented. Positive attitude with a good sense of humour. Please note: Candidates are required to have unrestricted rights to work in Australia, hold Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check, First Aid and CPR certification, and a valid WA driver's licence.
