About ACC Benalla ACC Benalla, is located at Benalla (2hrs north of Melbourne), and is a P-10, co-ed, Christian school. Core Responsibilities & Duties Plan and implement a range of teaching programs or courses of study; Have the content knowledge and pedagogical practice to meet the diverse needs of all students; Demonstrate a commitment to improving professional practice through coaching and professional development; Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards; Participate in child safety and wellbeing induction and training provided by the school and always follow the school’s child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures; Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct; Identify and raise concerns about child safety issues in accordance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures; Ensure students’ views are taken seriously and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives; Model and promote the vision and values of the school; Teach an area of the curriculum to senior year levels; Maintain records of class attendance and recording student progress; Implement effective student management consistent with the school’s strategic plan; Attend and participate in staff meetings as required; Be actively involved in regular staff devotions and prayer. We are seeking a capable and relational Primary Teacher who desires to inspire our student community. Qualifications Evidence of the right to work in Australia; Proof of identity; Recognised teaching qualification; Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (where applicable); Registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT); Statements of service from previous child-connected roles; References from previous child-connected roles. You will: Be a committed Christian, comfortable with sharing your faith; Be committed to improving student academic outcomes; Have high expectations for what students are capable of, both academically and behaviourally; Relate well to staff, students and parents, inspiring and managing students, and communicating effectively with parents to support a culture of high expectations; Have a servant heart; Have demonstrated excellent organisational skills; Have experience in primary (desirable).
