You have experience managing 40 + people of diverse backgrounds and have worked in operational roles extensively. You enjoy auditing because you thrive off successful reports, however you also have the patience and management skills required when auditing reports don’t meet standards. You enjoy being on the road and can manage a busy email inbox You can move fluidly between hands‑on support and higher‑level contributions to organisation‑wide strategies, maintaining strong communication and adaptability across all stakeholders. You are honest and great communicator, emotionally adept, reliable and most importantly – flexible. No two days are the same About the role As a senior member of staff you will be a 2IC and support person for the General Manager in managing operations of the company. This role is responsible for driving operational consistency, efficiency, and performance across key Victoria-based clients while also supporting the alignment of broader national operational priorities. The position works closely with local teams as well as cross-state stakeholders to ensure that day‑to‑day activities, strategic initiatives, and organisational processes are coordinated, compliant, and continuously improving. Your role will be responsible for both between meeting and managing Victoria based clients as well as assisting the General Manager with all other national operational matters. More about the role Support and assist the General Manager in all operational matters. Manage Client‑Company relationships with a focus on promoting the company brand in a positive manner at all times. Ensure that operational staff are maintaining a consistently good standard at all contracts. Provide leadership and guidance, ensuring delivery against local targets and supporting adoption of national standards and processes. Collaborate with interstate operational leads to maintain consistency in service delivery, reporting, and performance expectations across the organisation. Monitor operational metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the implementation of initiatives that enhance both state‑level and nationwide outcomes. Support workforce planning, compliance activities, and operational readiness efforts across both local and national contexts. Hold monthly meetings with client’s contractors Meet with Site Contract Manager during any on site visit All meetings documented and actions addressed in a timely manner Assist development of Subordinate Area Managers and other Team Members This role will be both office based and on the road, 2‑3 times per week in office and 2‑3 times per week on the road, interstate travel may also be a requirement.
