Responsibilities Set up activities and materials for each tour. Facilitate activities, covering specified learning areas and providing assistance as needed. Monitor the progress of the activity and engage the children in discussions about the topic. Manage time effectively to ensure the tour runs smoothly. Pack away equipment after use and inform the host if any items need replacing. Experience Previous experience working with children is beneficial but not essential. Skills Good communication skills, with the ability to connect with children aged between 7 -11 years at their level. Ability to maintain group control and ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. See training. Flexibility to adjust activities as necessary. See training Encouraging participation from both children and adults. Training Participate in group training sessions which cover activities and management of small groups of children. Receive on-the-job training and one-on-one training for specific activities. No prior space knowledge is required for this role. Comprehensive training is provided for all activities, with each one having its detailed script as a guide.
