We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Electrical Engineer with a keen sense of adventure and 3+ years’ experience to join our Victorian team. As an Electrical Engineer, you will: Work with the broader Safearth team on a range of innovative projects such as Earthing system design, Earthing system performance assessment, Lightning protection system design and assessment, Electrical shock safety auditing and incident investigation, Complex electrical problem solving across instrumentation, power, pipe and communications systems. Conduct earthing testing and assessments at client sites in Victoria, and throughout Australia. Prioritise work, health and safety. Promote Safearth and provide support across our services. This position is an exciting blend of technical engineering, site testing, client interaction, travel, and collaboration to deliver specialised consulting services. Can You See Yourself: Enhancing your understanding of power and earthing systems, testing equipment, and testing techniques to become an industry expert. Assessing earthing system compliance in line with current safety standards. Handling supervised and unsupervised work. Undertaking office-based design work and reporting. Continually learning on-the-job. Regularly travelling to site to conduct electrical testing at client locations. Enhancing and upholding work, health and safety standard both individually and as part of the team. Are You: Enthusiastic and self-motivated, with a positive attitude to teams and safety. An analytical thinker with the ability to “look outside the box” to problem‑solve. Able to effectively communicate with clients across various levels of their organisation. Willing to travel and engage in site‑based work. Passionate about innovation and making a difference. Essential Qualifications and Licences Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent. Australian Permanent or Temporary Resident (please specify relevant visa type). Current valid Australian Driver's Licence. What Would Make You Stand Out? Power system modelling tools (eg DigSILENT, PowerFactory). High Voltage power systems. Possession of a White Card (required for ongoing employment, but not necessary before commencing). The ability to work both under supervision and independently while meeting defined objectives. A demonstrated capacity to plan and execute complex work tasks.
