Civil Engineer for our Darwin Office . Reporting to the Practice Manager, the purpose of the role is to be responsible for planning, managing and successfully delivering engineering projects of a complex nature.Some of your duties will involve:Carrying out and managing of detailed designs for all types of projects and all aspects of the project.Ensuring the designs are innovative, prepared to a high standard and in accordance with the needs and expectations of our clients.Concept designs are developed in accordance with ADG's value proposition around innovation and value engineering.Managing project resources including Engineers, Technicians and Admin Support to ensure project deadlines are met.Monitoring the project budget in terms of hours/costs, work in progress, and debtor collection where applicable.We are looking for someone with…QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringChartered Member (CPEng) of Institute of Engineers Australia or ability and desire to obtainSkills & Knowledge10+ years of demonstrated design experienceAbility to think and solve problemsCritically assess and review designs by othersExperience in production of detailed engineering drawings commensurate with level of duties.Knowledge of construction methods and their impact on designUnderstands design and commercial riskDemonstrable contract management experienceExperience in liaising with project managers and architects effectivelyStrong communication skills across all partiesAble to maintain relationships at different levels within client organisationsWhat’s in it for you?ADG values your professional development and will offer you exposure across all facets of design and project delivery to expand your skillset.
