Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future. Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi‑disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security. What You’ll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including: Lead or participate in scheduling workshops to assist team leads and project managers with resourcing, resource levelling, and dependency analysis. Update schedule progress collaboratively with team leads and responsible stakeholders. Report schedule progress regularly to project management to ensure transparency and informed decision‑making. Identify scheduling issues promptly and recommend effective remediation and resolution actions. Deliver key scheduling outputs including Project Master Schedules, Work Breakdown Structures, WBS Dictionaries, and schedule reports. What You’ll Bring Solid understanding and experience in schedule management, methodologies, and tools, particularly Open Plan Professional. Proven ability to develop schedules for large acquisition projects at various stages of their lifecycle. Good understanding of Defence acquisition projects, with practical experience considered beneficial. Familiarity with project controls and their application in managing projects effectively. Essential schedule management professional accreditation (e.g., Open Plan Professional certification), with relevant project‑related qualifications highly desirable. Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
