You don’t need prior gelato experience, we’ll teach you the art, but you’ll need a steady hand, strong kitchen experience, and a deep respect for real, quality ingredients. About the Role You’ll lead the daily creation of our artisan gelato, cakes, and kitchen prep, ensuring every batch embodies Monella’s signature high standards of quality. You’ll manage ordering, stock rotation, and uphold the quiet discipline and rhythm that define our kitchen. Your responsibilities include: Daily gelato and cake production (training provided) Managing ordering, stock, and prep schedules Maintaining a clean, organised, and harmonious kitchen Ensuring all products are made on time and to exceptional standards Working collaboratively with the owner and front‑of‑house team Approx. 30+ hours per week (typically 6 hours per day, 5 days a week) – with flexibility during summer peaks. About You You bring skill, steadiness, and pride to your craft. You love a clean space, a clear plan, and work that feels purposeful and precise. Experienced chef, cook, or pastry chef (2+ years preferred) Dependable, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated Organised, clean, and calm under pressure Appreciates high‑quality ingredients and intentional production Able to work independently and communicate clearly Physically fit, as some lifting is required Baking or chocolate experience is a plus Growth & Opportunity Monella is entering an exciting stage of expansion, with new stores planned in the near future.
