Overview Join to apply for the People and Culture Coordinator role at Careers at Council As an award winning Council, we offer a dynamic career with Bega Valley Shire Council. The region is a blend of rural and coastal living, with a workforce of over 350 supporting essential services. Opportunity You will lead the People and Culture area, supervising the team and providing strategic and day‑to‑day HR leadership. You will advise managers on performance management, award interpretation, grievances, investigation and employee exits. Key HR areas include workforce planning, job design, recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, industrial relations and administration of the Council’s HRIS. Qualifications Hold a degree in human resource management, business administration or organisational development. Demonstrate knowledge and experience interpreting and applying industrial award conditions. Operational HR experience – recruitment and selection, employee data administration, performance management and employee relations. Strategic HR planning – prepare and implement workforce strategies. Computer software – Microsoft Office, HRIS and records management systems. Benefits This is a permanent full‑time position, 35 hours per week. Total remuneration package commences at $105,041.66 gross per annum: $1,803.60 per week base salary $216.43 per week superannuation (12%) Additional benefits: Rostered day off scheme (nine day fortnight) Annual award salary increases and performance reviews Salary packaging program (SmartSalary) Wellbeing initiatives – Fitness Passport, Employee Assistance Program, Telus Health App, social club, health monitoring and annual flu vaccinations.
