About the Role Venues NSW is seeking an experienced and passionate Grounds Manager to lead a high‑performing team responsible for delivering exceptional turf and horticultural services at Allianz Stadium and its surrounding precinct. In this key leadership role, you will oversee the presentation, maintenance, and readiness of world‑class playing surface, ensuring the venue continues to meet national and international standards. Reporting to the Curator, you will develop and implement innovative turf management plans, guide a skilled Grounds team, and foster a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement. The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, working closely with sports partners, contractors, media, and other Venues NSW employees to deliver outstanding results. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the preparation and performance of one of Australia's premier sports and entertainment venues, ensuring Allianz Stadium remains in peak condition for every event. About You You are an accomplished leader with extensive experience in sports turf management and a proven ability to deliver superior outcomes in high‑profile environments. You bring a combination of technical expertise, people leadership, and operational management skills to ensure that every playing surface and precinct area meets the highest professional standards. Demonstrated experience leading and developing a high‑performing grounds or turf management team Strong knowledge of contemporary turf management techniques, technologies, and transition planning between sporting codes Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of partners Proven experience managing budgets, service contracts, and capital improvement projects Collaborative leadership style, with a strong focus on safety, service delivery, and continuous improvement The ability to represent Venues NSW professionally in public forums, media interactions, and industry networks This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, high‑performance environment and takes pride in delivering playing surfaces and facilities that are second to none.
